Question:

Answers

I honestly do not know. However, I am very sorry that's happening to you. I really hope your mental health gets better :)

Explanation:

.Reading the passage carefully, Kenneth and MOM want to go on a trip to the highest peak in the state of California. But Jeanette suffers from  acrophobia, thus Jeanette is afraid of heights. Kenneth was rather dissapointed and Jeannette offered to bug out on the trip. But Mom works out a plan in which Jeannette will climb up the mountain to get over her fears. Jeannette agrees with the plan, and they pack for the vacation. With this being said, the theme of the story would be to get over your fears and adversities.

B)  overcoming one's fears and adversities

Explanation:

The whole conversation, although it begins with deciding where to travel, focuses on Jeannette's fear. Actually, the purpose of the trip becomes the family's wish to overcome Jeannette's acrophobia. This statement is true, but it doesn't have to do exactly with the passage.

The other question is about a universal theme present in the passage. It is about how people struggle to defeat our phobias and fears. The first step is always the acceptance, as Jeannette shows admitting that she is afraid of height. Later on, her family's support motivates her to deal with her fear.

A)  recovering from childhood abuse

There is no mention of childhood abuse.

C)  losing one's innocence at an early age

Not even mentioned.

D)  struggling to cope with difficult family members

On the contrary, Jeannette's family members are very caring.
