[tex]What is one reason soldiers were shunned when they returned from vietnam[/tex]

Answers

C. People believed they acted irresponsibly

Option B. People believed they acted irresponsibly.

Explanation:

In the aftermath of Vietnam war, soldiers were faced with negative reactions from both opponents of the war (who viewed them as having killed innocent civilians) and its supporters (who saw them as having lost the war).

The fact that more than $120 billion were used to finance the war campaing (causing massive inflation) further exacerbated the disapproval of the soldiers from their fellow citizens.

they went through a lot of bad stuff.

Explanation:

A. Many Americans did not support the war.

Explanation:

The Vietnam War was a very controversial conflict. It lasted an extremely long time, and once the United States was involved, it was very difficult to take the troops out of the conflict. Moreover, politicians were unwilling to end the war, despite enormous public opposition. Many atrocities were committed during the war, and the United States was responsible for a huge number of them. Therefore, when soldiers returned to the country, they were seen as contributors to an event most people detested. This meant that they were shunned when they returned home.

all soldiers experience this, losing their friends and possibly family on the field, this could give someone ptsd which more than 90% of soldiers have

Soldiers returning from Vietnam were shunned because the whole idea of the war was considered unfair.Going to a foreign country to take the lives of farmers and innocent women and children was considered , and it is still today, by many ,as irrational and even immoral.Soldiers were under orders to kill and pacifists tought that they did not deserve any respect or attention from American people.

Soldiers were avoided because many Americans did not support the war.

Explanation:

The US military promoted many atrocities during the Vietnam War, and the economic cost of this war was enormous. The American population disapproved of this conflict, thought it was unethical, cruel and unnecessary.

Without the support of the people and in the face of various defeats, even with a modern military arsenal, even using chemical weapons, the United States accepted the ceasefire in 1973, withdrawing from the conflict in 1975. The return of the soldiers to the house, was an event without animation because soldiers were avoided by the population as a result of the unpopularity of the war.

The Vietnam war was greatly disapproved by many American citizens. It was a super power nation fighting a  smaller agrarian country. Many casuaties on both sides, but almost five times more on the weaker one. For the peace lovers and people who didn't support the war, the soldiers that returned were not considered a hero, but a person that made a wrong decision going to this unfair war.
