Chapter1:
1. The community isn't very nice. The people live organized, oppressed lives with very little excitement. The people don't seem to mind, but only because they don't have true feelings.
2. The punishments in the book are very harsh. One punishment for breaking a rule three times is release (which is a nice way to say death by lethal injection.)
Even though I would looove to help you, I haven't read the book and googling 25 questions will take me all night so lol here's a link with the questions and people discussing the answers. Good luck :)

I think that overall the community is well organized, and thrives well but it is so mundane! to take away feeling, and emotion from the lives of people the color, expression! Nobody would want to live without those things obviously Jonas didn't want to.
Jonas's community has a lot of control over the people in it. The people live very mundane, organized, scheduled lives that do not offer much choice to them. The people, however, seem not to mind. They don't even mind when they have to kill elderly or people who have committed a sin 3 times. They don't have true feelings, as the Giver and Jonas discussed, because they do not have the memories.
Overall Jonas's community is a very organized. The Elders make sure that everything is in order, and by doing that they had to get rid of some very important things such as feelings. The place lacks color and imagination and the people are happy with that. They don't see anything wrong with the way they live. Just like in the book Jonas asks his parents if they loved him. Taken back the parents reprimand him for choice of words and reply instead that they are proud of his accomplishments and enjoy his company. I would use the words organized, but also apathetic. Meaning there's a lack of emotion.
I think that Jonas's community is very orderly and very cruel because what if someone did something by accident I think some words that may describe Jonas's community are Jonas's community is a very organized, PG 3(Asher remained standing to make his public apology as required) and strict PG 9( this evening he would have preferred keeping his feelings hidden .but it was of course against the rules)
Selfish- the robbed the community people of the experience of simple things such as snow!
This is supposed to be your own opinion.
