The correct answer is D) There was very little fighting done as the British only worked to occupy Charleston, South Carolina for its port so it could cut off trade for the southern colonies.

The fighting in the South during the third stage of the war was different than in the other stages of the war and regions of the colonies in that there was very little fighting done as the British only worked to occupy Charleston, South Carolina for its port so it could cut off trade for the southern colonies.

The three stages of the Revolutionary War in which the Continental Army defeated the English troops to gain independence from the British crown, were the following: the New England stage from 1775 to April 1776; the Middle Atlantic stage from May 1776 to June 1778; and the Southern stage, from December 1778 to October 1781.

The fighting in the South during the third stage of the war different than in the other stages of the war and regions of the colonies. As it was a mixture of bloody civil war between civilians, use of guerrilla forces for hit-and-run attacks, and battles with standing armies.

Option C

Explanation:

The American Revolution which took place from 1763 to 1783, the southern phase of the revolution was from 1778 to 1781. During this phase of the war is characterised by the bloody civil war between the civilians. In the beginning, the British were relaying on the loyalists as they believed that they were strongest in south.

Initially British succeeded in the South but soon situation changed and there was use of guerrilla forces for hit and run warfare. Ultimately, British were defeated in south as their strategy miserably failed.

The fighting in the South was different during the third stage of the Revolutionary war because. "It was a mixture of bloody civil war between civilians, use of guerilla forces for hit-and-run attacks, and battles with standing armies"

Explanation:

In the third stage of the Revolutionary War (1778-1781) the British at first had some important victories. This includes overtaking Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC, and another victory at Camden, SC. But the British were also facing pressure due to antagonisms with the French in other regions as well like the Caribbean. So, the British wanted to rely on loyalists living in the Southern states instead of sending large standing armies. This weakened their position because the loyalists there were not generally proactive loyalists, it was more like they were neutral or sitting out from the war. The patriots were better at the guerilla-type of warfare because they could more easily hide within the population.

There is civil interference.

Further Explanation

The American Revolution was a colonial revolution that took place in 1765 to 1783. The American Patriots in the Thirteen Colonies defeated Great Britain in the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783) with French help, won independence from Britain and founded the United States.

This war is the result of the United States Revolution. The invaders rose because the 1765 Stamp Act issued by the British Parliament was unconstitutional. The British Parliament insists that they have the right to tax the invaders. The colony claimed that because they were British residents, taxation without people's representation was considered illegal. The American invaders formed a united Continental Congress and a shadow government in each colony, although at first, it was still loyal to the King.

France, Spain, and the Dutch Republic secretly provided supplies, ammunition, and weapons to the revolutionaries starting in 1776. In June 1776, the United States assumed complete control of each state, but then the British Royal Navy occupied New York City and make it their main base. This war is soon deadlocked. The Royal Navy can occupy other coastal cities in a short time, but the rebels control the rural areas inhabited by 90 percent of the US population. The British strategy depended on the mobilization of Loyalist militias and never materialized. The British invasion of Canada in 1777 ended with the conquest of British troops at the Battle of Saratoga. The victory of the United States pushed France openly to war in early 1778, thus balancing the military power of both sides.

Option - 4

Explanation:

Unrest within the colonies have developed because of illegal laws and unwarranted taxes. The American colonies have come to an understanding that to oppose the British government on the third stage of the war.

The fierce resistance shown by American troops on the south during the third stage of the war put an end to the British control where the British army was forced to surrender around 8000 armies to the American troops which impacted a major setback to the British government.

Of all the other wars, the America colonies never fought for independence. The third stage of war has a special mention in the American Revolutionary war history.

It is not clear how large armies were; the Saxons themselves described anything more than 30 warriors as an army. This was about same number as a ship's crew.
