 The conflict man versus self represents the internal struggle of the character.  Character must overcome his own nature or make a choice between two or more paths (usually between good and evil; logic and emotion).For example, character with internal conflict is Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

The conflict man versus nature represents the struggle between a character and a force of nature. Because man versus nature is a conflict in which character is tormented by natural forces such as storms or animals (or in this case hurricane) – it represent the type of the external conflicts.

This would be an internal conflict. Also known as a Person Vs Self conflict.
