Can anyone tell me how to solve this? Geometry Right Triangles
Question:
[tex]Can anyone tell me how to solve this? Geometry Right Triangles[/tex]
Answers
1) Transform the inequality into equation by replacing "<" or ">" with "=":
-2x - 4 > 8
-2x - 4 = 8
2) Simply solve for x:
-2x - 4 = 8
-2x = 8 + 4
-2x = 12
x = -6
3) Now do the following exactly the same: first, look into the symbol that you have replaced (">" or "<"). Put the same symbol into your answer "x = -6":
x > -6
4) Now, look which symbol was in front of "x" in the original inequality (-2x - 4 = 8). If it is "+" (for example, 4x, 0.01x) leave "x > -6". If it is "-" (for example, -3x, -0.04x) change ">" into "<" or change "<" into ">" (put the opposite symbol).
5) You have -2x in the original inequality - then, in "x > -6" change the symbol into "<". So, your answer will be
x < -6 or the option 1.
Hope this helps!
3x - 2 = 6x + 4
-2 = 3x + 4
-6 = 3x
-2 = x
Final x = -2
8-(4c-5)=11
8-4c+5=11
13-4c=11
-4c=-2
C=1/2
all work is pictured/shown

In verse proportion:-
p = k / (q + 4)^2 where k is a constant
When p = 2, q = 2 so we can find k as follows:-
2 = k / (2 + 4)^2
k = 2 * 6^2 = 72
So we have the equation relating p and q :-
p = 72 / (q + 4)^2
When q = -2,
p = 72 / (-2 + 4)^2
4p = 72
p = 72/4 = 18 (answer)
it depends on the problem cause there are many ways to solve these type of problems. hope that help some
p·√(q+4) = k
2·√(2+4) = k
2√6 = k
p·√(-2+4) = 2√6
p·√2 = 2√6
p = 2√3
2√3
To understand what the question mean and think about what you have learned
I won’t give you the answer but I will give you the steps so you can have a go at it yourself, if still stuck, post in the comments.
Steps
Use Pythagoras’ Theorem to find the diagonal AC.
Half the diagonal AC to obtain the value of AM
Use trigonometry to solve for perpendicular height MV as you have an angle and a side length.
x >-11
Explanation:
2x+7>-15
Subtract 7 from both sides
2x >-15-7
Simplify-15-7 to -22
2x >-22
Divide both sides by 2
22
x > - ___
2
Simplify 22/2 to 11
x >-11
